Thursday February 9
Bible Reading: Romans 1: 1 - 17
Topic: From Faith To Faith
The passage today
introduces the meaning and message of the Gospel and also recounts Paul's
desire to meet the Romans for a gospel fellowship unto edification.
Verses 3 - 5 summarize the
central message of the gospel - Jesus Christ Who was born of the seed of David
according to the flesh; He died and rose again in glory that by faith in Him,
we shall experience the same death unto sin and the world and as such live the
risen life of victory over sin, satan and the world. By race through faith, the
Righteousness of God is revealed in us from faith to faith through continual
fellowship with God in the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
Therefore, to the sinners,
the message of the gospel is coming today advertising its power to save and
deliver from sin; to the believer, the passage is a challenge to preach the
gospel and not dogma and not be ashamed in doing so, for it is the power of God
unto salvation.
Faithful preaching of this
Gospel reveals the Righteousness of God from faith to faith.
Prayer:
Lord, help me experience
the Gospel today and give me the grace to be bold in preaching it, Amen
Memory verse: Romans 1: 16
"For I am not ashamed
of the Gospel of Christ; for it is the Power of God unto Salvation to everyone
that believes; to the Jew first and also to the Greek."
