Daily Fountain 2017 - Holding The Truth In Unrighteousness

Friday February 10

Bible Reading:     Romans 1: 18 - 32

Topic:         Holding The Truth In Unrighteousness

The reading today shows us the subtle ways in which apostasy grows.

What is Apostasy?

It is the renunciation of a religious faith or abandonment of a previous conviction and loyalty.

The World today is filled with religious and moral apostasy.

Homosexuality and Lesbianism have gained legality in many Countries today, and as if that is not enough, these heinous evils are seeking global approval even in the churches

How did that degree of apostasy start?

It started as our passage today shows us by "people holding the truth in unrighteousness" (v. 18) - that is religious hypocrisy and sinful permissiveness.

Again it started by People not matching their lives with the theoretical knowledge of God they profess (vs. 21 - 23) and then it escalated into a full deliberate lie and reprobate mind (vs. 24 - 28)

Therefore let us watch our lives and ask God to deal with every moral weakness in us before it escalates into apostasy.

Let's examine ourselves to see if there is any way we are holding the truth in unrighteousness. If we don't, we shall fall into the same error of apostasy.

Prayer:

Lord, deliver me from the unfortunate life of holding the truth in unrighteousness, Amen

Memory verse:   Romans 1: 16

"For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who hold the truth in unrighteousness."

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
