Bible Reading: Habakkuk 3: 1 - 19
Topic: Mercy And Encounter - The Products Of
Seeking God
Since Chapter 1 of
Habakkuk, he has continued in prayer, expressing dependence on and faith in God
to judge wickedness and to bring revival in his society.
Here in Chapter 3,
Habakkuk has not given up in prayer and in seeking God's face for his nation
and people.
He emphatically prayed for
revival which is possible only when God's mercy is on a people and He gives
them room for an encounter. Thus he prayed fervently, "in wrath, remember
mercy" God actually had mercy and showed Habakkuk a revelation which
implied encounter.
We need revival in our
generation.
This will be possible only
when we are able to unlock God's mercy and field of endeavour and when we
earnestly seek Him.
Will you be an instrument
of revival in our time?
If you will, then seek God earnestly.
If you will, then seek God earnestly.
Prayer:
God, give me the hunger to
seek You daily, Amen
Memory verse: Habakkuk 3: 18
"Yet I will rejoice
in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation."
