Daily Fountain 2017 - "Knowing This ...."

Wednesday February 22

Bible Reading:     Rom. 6: 1 - 14

Topic:         "Knowing This ...."

One evening, a young man came out to his corridor for fresh air and as he sat there, a medium- sized fowl passed with both legs tangled with discarded weave-on.

The fowl could hardly move freely.

In sympathy, he caught the fowl and removed the tangled weave-on that had begun to eat into the flesh of the fowl and let it go.

However, the fowl did not immediately move freely. It still walked as though it was under the bondage of that torn weave-on.

The fowl did not know that it had been set free, that was why its immediate movement did not reflect the freedom it had been given.

So it is with some believers.

They live as those who are not aware of the fact that they died to sin when Christ died, that their old nature was buried when Christ was buried and that an entirely new person rose again in them when Christ rose from the dead.

Therefore Paul states that knowing this, we should reckon or account it so by faith and yield our bodies unto righteousness.

That is the path of victory over sin, the flesh and the world system.

It begins with "knowing this.."

Prayer:
Lord, help me to have the revealed and practical knowledge of the finished work of Christ, Amen

Memory verse:   Rom. 6: 14
"For sin shall not have dominion over you for ye are not under the law but under grace"

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
