Daily Fountain 2017 - All Lies Are Lies

Saturday May 13

Bible Reading:     Gen. 12: 10 - 20
Topic:         All Lies Are Lies

Even though Abram obeyed God's call, famine in Canaan forced him to relocate to Egypt where there was food.

We learn from here that the call of God and even our obedience to it does not protect us from serious problems and difficulties.

When we serve God, we should not be surprised that we often experience serious hardship and challenges.

These difficult situations often showcase God's awesome Power and Faithfulness.

Unfortunately, Abram responded to the move to Egypt with fear for his personal safety and conspired with Sarai to lie about their relationship.

This is a warning that even giants in the faith can make mistakes.

Sin brings shame and reproach.

The lie Abram and his wife told was later discovered and they were sent away from Egypt.

Many Christians tell lies on telephone or in their offices; some couples lie to each other; some workers falsify their ages while some use fake results; students buy results to gain admissions or graduate from Institutions of learning.

Even in the Church, some falsify figures for offerings, tithes and other assessments.

God our Father never lies - Num. 23: 19 - and we must strive to follow His example always in our daily lives

Prayer:

Dear God of truth, please incline my heart to speak the truth in all circumstances of my life, I pray through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Amen

Memory Verse:   Gen. 12: 17

"And the Lord plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plague because of Sarai, Abram's wife"

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
