Daily Fountain 2017 - The Good Shepherd

Sunday May 7

Bible Reading:     John 10: 7 - 14
Topic:         The Good Shepherd

Jesus made two very important declarations in today's reading.

I am the Door of the sheep (v. 7) and I am the Good Shepherd (vs. 11, 14) and distinguished Himself from false doors and hirelings who have no genuine regard for the sheep they look after.

As the door, He provides protection and security from predators who would try to steal or harm the sheep.

As the Good Shepherd, He cares for the sheep, binds their wounds, leads them to good pasture and stays with them through every circumstance.

In contrast, hirelings are predators that would harm the sheep and exploit them for their own ends.

While Jesus comes to give us life in its abundance, the devil- the thief- comes to steal, to kill and to destroy.

Unfortunately, today the Church is full of hirelings in the form of fake Pastors, Prophets and Teachers whose bellies are their gods.

These exploit genuine worshippers for their own ends, preach blessing without obedience, live immorally and are guilty of pride, intimidation and other vices.

If you come across them, resist them and flee to Jesus Who is the Good Shepherd.

If you are one of them, repent!

Prayer:

Father, deliver us from false shepherds and help us to submit to our Good Shepherd that we may receive Your life in its fullness, Amen

Memory Verse:   John 10: 10

"The thief cometh not but for to steal, and to kill and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly"

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
