Bible Reading: 1 Cor. 15: 50 - 58
Topic: No More Death
The mystery of changing
our earthly body to a glorious body will occur within a brief moment.
Our transformation will be
heralded by the sound of a trumpet, and the dead shall rise never to die again,
while the living shall be transformed and given immortality.
We shall triumphantly
declare "Oh death where is your sting, oh grave where is your
victory?"
1 Thess. 4: 16 tells us
that the dead in Christ shall arise first.
The dead in Christ are
those who when they were alive accepted Jesus as Lord of their lives and lived
for Him.
This prospect of meeting
Jesus one day in the air when the trumpet sounds is a great incentive to live
righteous lives here and now.
As 1 John 3: 3 tells us,
those who have this hope in them purify themselves as He (Christ) is pure.
Every genuine Christian
who is looking forward to this exciting gathering in Christ would strive to
shun sin and worldliness and live by the priorities of the Kingdom especially
in these last days.
Are you seriously
anticipating meeting Christ?
Your life will show it here and now!!
Your life will show it here and now!!
Prayer:
My Lord and my God, please
help me to amend my life and be ready
for the coming of Jesus Christ, Amen
Memory Verse: 1 Cor. 15: 58
"Therefore my beloved
brethren be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord,
forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord"
