Daily Fountain 2017 - Has God Said . . . . .?

Tuesday May 9

Bible Reading:     Gen. 3: 1 - 5
Topic:         Has God Said. . . . . .?

Today's passage exposes satan as very cunning and the architect of the fall of man.

He came with a cunning question which cleverly twisted the truth of the Word of God.

He pretended to be on the side of the man and the woman  and tried to undermine God's Character with his cunning words.

This is why Paul warned in 2 Cor. 11: 14 that satan transforms himself into the angel of light.

Satan twisted the Word of God to deceive Eve and he tried the same trick with Jesus during His temptation when he misquoted God's promise of protection given in the Psalms in order to get Jesus to seek cheap popularity.

Jesus was able to defeat him because He knew exactly what the Word of God said.

Unfortunately today, many of us depend on the 'word of the man of God' than the Word of God.

That only spells disaster because many false prophets today twist the Word of God for their own selfish ends.

Today, determine to study the Word of God for yourself to know exactly what it says. It is your most effective protection against the devil and false teachers and prophets.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, give me the grace to faithfully study Your Word so that I can be fortified against the wiles of the devil and all agents of darkness, I pray in Jesus Name, Amen

Memory Verse:   Gen. 3: 3

"But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die"

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
