Daily Fountain 2017 - A Brother's Keeper

Tuesday May 16

Bible Reading:     Gen. 14: 13 - 16
Topic:         A Brother's Keeper

When Abram heard that his nephew had been taken captive by the alliance of four Kings, he armed his 318 trained servants and went in pursuit of the people.

Abram attacked the Kings and liberated all the captives taken from Sodom including the King and his nephew Lot.

Abram had a house full of trained soldiers who attended to other duties until they were needed for war.

This is an important spiritual lesson.

The Lord wants us to be combat ready always.

Paul enjoined Christians should in Eph. 6: 10 - 18 to put on the whole Armour of God and stand in readiness always for battle against all the powers of darkness.

We will be ready to avenge all disobedience only as we walk in complete obedience.

We can do this by always avoiding sin, praying continually, studying the Word of God, living out the life of a true believer and witnessing  for Christ.

If you do these things, you will be a battle ready Christian and you will never fall.

Prayer:

Stand up, stand up for Jesus
Stand in His Strength alone
The arm of flesh will fail you
You dare not trust your own
Put on the Gospel armour
Each piece put on with prayer
When duty calls or danger
Be never wanting there

Memory Verse:   Gen. 14: 22

"And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan"

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
