Daily Fountain 2017 - You Are Counted

Wednesday                            24th

Bible Reading:     Gen. 17: 9 - 14
Topic:         You Are Counted

Yesterday, we saw how Abram's name was changed to Abraham

Today, God addressed him by his new name (v. 9).

The best thing that can happen in your life is to have a good and close relationship with God.

God now addressed Abram as Abraham - Father of many Nations - and established the covenant of circumcision with him.

Every male child in his family and their descendants would be circumcised on the 8th day as a sign of this covenant.

Circumcision would henceforth separate Abraham's family and descendants from heathen nations.

God so loved us that He extended this covenant of grace to us Gentiles through the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ.

His death has opened the door for a change of identity (1 Pet. 2: 8 - 9) - from being outcasts to becoming children of God.

Don't make the mistake of abusing the priviledge.

A new covenant has been established for you and you will benefit from it if you circumcise your heart by faithfully submitting to God's saving grace in our Lord Jesus Christ (Phil. 3:3)

Don't exclude yourself from the grace of God.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I want to sincerely thank You for Your bountiful grace upon my life, for Your daily provisions, for Your comforts and for Your upliftment. I pray Lord that You help me to live within this grace and not to abuse it. Amen

Memory Verse:   Gen. 17: 10

"This is My Covenant, which ye shall keep between Me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised"

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
