Daily Fountain 2017 - Do The Right Thing

Monday May 29

Bible Reading:     2 Kings 1: 1 - 10
Topic:         Do The Right Thing

Anything in life that takes one away from God invariably brings the person closer to the devil.

We are at the greatest risk when we allow sin or evil practices to separate us from God.

King Ahaziah set a very bad example in today's reading. He neglected the God of Israel and went to consult Baalzebub, the god of Ekron for his health challenges. God did not take this act of unbelief and stubborn idolatory lightly and sent Elijah to deliver His message to the King. Through Elijah, God told him that what he feared would come upon him, he would not recover from his illness, instead of repenting and asking for God's help, he became confrontational and by so doing brought doom to his messengers.

Today, many of us are like Ahaziah, consulting different types of gods in times of challenges.

Some even build altars for these strange gods, yet they still claim to belong to the body of Christ.

Innocent people suffer and die because of our indiscretion.

Watch your commitment closely. God may not allow you to continue with that deceit.

You can never deceive God.

God is really watching your actions, especially your secret life.

Prayer
Cast me not away from Your Presence oh Lord,  restore my joy of salvation and renew Your Spirit within me, Amen.

Memory Verse             2 Kings 1: 10
"And Elijah answered and said to the Captain of the fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty"

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
