(St. Philip & St. James' Day)
Bible Reading: John 14: 1 - 15
Topic: No Accommodation Problem
A young man in one of our
big Cities was frustrated when the Court Bailiff and Policemen descended on him
early one morning and took him and all his properties to the Area's Chief
Magistrate's Court.
He owed rent for 21/2
years.
Even the sight of his
pregnant wife did not make the Court's Bailiff change his mind.
Today's passage assures
those of us who belong to Jesus that we would have no problems of accommodation
in Heaven.
Jesus is in there right
now, preparing, furnishing and decorating the place for us.
He boldly tells us in Luke
12: 32 that it is our Father's good pleasure to give us His Kingdom.
However unlike earthly
accommodations which we can build or rent for ourselves, those accommodations
in Heaven are specifically for those who belong to Jesus and for whom He has
promised to come.
It is for those whose
names are written in His Book of Life (Rev. 20: 11 - 15).
We can prepare to meet
Jesus by asking Him to come into our lives, to be our Lord and Personal Saviour
and saying No to sin and all forms of unrighteousness.
Is your name in Jesus Book
of Life?
Is He preparing a place
for you?
You can make sure today!!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You
because I know my accommodation is secure in Heaven with You, Amen
Memory Verse: John 14: 12
"Verily, verily I say
unto you, he that believeth in Me, the works that I do shall he do also and
greater works than these shall he do because I go unto My Father"
