Daily Fountain 2017 - Learning How To Intercede For Others

Wednesday June 21

Bible Reading:     Gen. 18: 16 - 28
Topic:         Learning To Intercede For Others

Burdens and ideas are usually shared with friends and loved ones.

As a friend of God, Abraham was informed of what God was about to do in Sodom (v. 17)

God will not do a thing without first revealing it to His Prophets and People.

Abraham interceded with God on behalf of Sodom and Gomorrah.

Note the remark in verse 23 that God will not sweep away both the righteous and the wicked people. If only for ten righteous people, God was prepared to spare Sodom and Gomorrah (v. 32)

The petitions of Abraham from verses 24- 32 were very challenging. This can measure with the intercessions of Moses and Samuel (Ex. 32: 9; 1 Sam 7: 5 - 10)

We are challenged to pray and intercede over issues that concern our families, the Church, the Nation e.t.c. It is only God that has the answers to our problems. Ours is to persist in prayer until God answers us.

PUSH - Pray Until Something Happens

"Men ought always to pray and not lose heart" (Lk. 18: 1b)

Prayer
Lord. make me an intercessor in my own time and generation, Amen.

Memory Verse             Gen. 18: 19
"For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment: that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which He hath spoken of him."

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
