Daily Fountain 2017 - Wait For Your Due Season

Friday June 16

Bible Reading:     1 Pet. 5  1 - 7
Topic:         Wait For Your Due Season

1 Peter 5: 1 - 7 introduces us to God's sort or own type of Leaders set over His flock.

Peter reminds leaders in today's Church as he did to his first audience, that leadership over God's people is not cheap, fixed and for personal gain

Whoever is appointed to lead God's Church should remember that s/he has the call to serve not with high handedness, force and what he can gain. It is a service to be done willingly in love with the Good Shepherd the Lord Jesus Christ being the One to be obeyed and honoured by every leader as an under shepherd.

A day is coming when the Chief Shepherd will return and reward every under shepherd according to what they have done in taking care of God's flock (v. 4)

It is not only the Elders who should serve as good, sacrificial God fearing servants, the young people in the Church are to accept the authority of those God has set over them and learn to give all their worries or anxieties to God (v. 7)

Prayer
Lord help me as an Elder in Your Church to serve Your flock as a true and loving shepherd and for young people to accept the authority of the leaders you have set over them, Amen.

Memory Verse             1 Pet. 5: 6
"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty Hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time."

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
