Daily Fountain 2017 - Use Your Gifts To Serve Excellently In Life

Wednesday June 14

Bible Reading:     1 Pet. 4: 7 - 11
Topic:         Use Your Gifts To Serve Excellently Well In Life

Apostle Peter continued his exhortation to the Christians he addressed, with a challenge to a Spirit filled and Spirit led life of prayer and devotion to God and man.

They were to continue in an unselfish, hospitable life in their homes and put every gift in their lives - speaking, helping others and only others for the glory of God forever.

God's gifts to us - of grace, love and truth - are for us to build one another in the faith.

The foundation for a successful life of service is the Nature of God we have received.

By the fruit of the Spirit, we are enabled to be like God in love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, self control and gentleness.

This is the kind of life Paul said against it "there is no law" (Gal. 5: 22 - 23)

Prayer
Lord, help me to use Your gifts in my life to serve, to build others up in faith and service, Amen.

Memory Verse             1 Pet. 4: 10
"As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God."

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
