Daily Fountain 2017 - Behold What Manner Of Love

Thursday April 6

Bible Reading:     1 John 3: 1 - 9

Topic:         Behold What Manner Of Love

An experience of the new birth (salvation) is the greatest miracle in any one's life.

In our Text, John is astonished at the manner of love by which God has loved us (John 3: 16) which results in men and women being called Children of God.

This wonderful experience he says give hope and calls for diligence and dutifulness.

The hope is that the experience of son-ship is not only in time but for eternity.

There will be resurrection experience in which believers will be clothed with new bodies and new identities. (2 Phil. 3: 21)

In view of this hope, therefore a Christian should be diligent to live a lifestyle that keeps him separated from the world.

To do this, he must dutifully walk in the light of the Word of God and keep himself in the Love of God by keeping God's Commandments.

He stresses repeatedly that a Christian who abides in Christ while at the same time continues in habitual sin is a contradiction.

Those who habitually sin have no true knowledge or experience of God's salvation.

So do not be deceived, obedience to the Gospel is the only manifestation of being born of God, not Church attendance.

Prayer:
Lord help me to continue to abide in You, for I pray in Jesus Name, Amen.

Memory verse:   1 John 3: 8
"He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil"

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
