Daily Fountain 2017 - The Truth You Know

Wednesday April 5

Bible Reading:     1 John 2: 24 - 29

Topic:         The Truth You Know

If we start our reading from v. 18 which warns us about "the antichrist", we will better understand verses 24 - 29.

Who is the antichrist?
The antichrist may not become manifest yet, but the Scripture gives us clues about the present day antichrists.

Matthew 24: 24 calls them false "christs" and false prophets who show (not perform) great signs and wonders, if only to deceive the gullible Christians.

Paul in 2 Thess. 2: 2-12 describes them as men of lawlessness, who try to deceive believers by all means.

They may even be those who have 'believed' the Gospel (v. 19) but are now showing their true colour by denying the faith.

It is interesting that our text today addresses situations that exist today, whereby people adulterate the Gospel and perpetuate all forms of crime in the name of healing and preaching of Christ.

John recommends two things a Christian must follow to avoid the cunningness of these evil men. One is to be deeply rooted in the Word of God and secondly to have an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit.

The Word of God and the Spirit of God are your only hope for stability in a world filled with antichrists.

Prayer:
Father in Heaven, give me the Unction of Your Spirit to always know and follow the Truth, I pray in Jesus Name, Amen.

Memory verse:   1 John 2: 29
"If ye know that He is Righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of Him"

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
