Daily Fountain 2017 - The Order Of Resurrection

Sunday April 30
Second Sunday After Easter

Bible Reading:     1 Cor. 15: 20 - 28

Topic:         The Order Of Resurrection

Yesterday we saw that the resurrection of the dead is real.

Today, Paul adds another dimension with regard to who will be raised, why and how!

He links the resurrection of the dead to the second coming of Christ.

He distinguishes between those in Adam (all of humanity who inherited Adam's sin nature) and those in Christ.

As long as one remains in that state, he is appointed to die once and after that judgment (Heb. 9: 27)

As for those who are in Christ, Gal. 3: 26 - 27 says they will be raised for eternal dwelling with Jesus when He comes again.

Every Christian has passed through death into life in this life because he has been buried with Jesus and subsequently raised with Him, in order to walk in hope of a bodily resurrection to come (Rom. 6: 3 - 6)

At Jesus' coming, there will be the resurrection of the saints who are asleep in Jesus and then Christians who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord (1 Thess. 4: 13 - 17).

The advise therefore for those expecting a glorious life with Christ in eternity is: "Awake to righteousness and do not sin like those who have no knowledge of God" (1 Cor. 15: 34)

Prayer:

Lord, let Your Church be always conscious of Jesus' second coming, Amen

Memory Verse:   1 Cor. 15: 22

"For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ, shall all be made alive"

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
