Daily Fountain 2017 - Love In Action

Saturday April 8

Bible Reading:     1 John 3: 16 - 24

Topic:         Love In Action

In many places, the Scripture encourages Christians to show love by deed.

In verse 18 of today's text, John admonishes: "My little Children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth".

What John is saying is that our faith and love must respond to the needs that arise out of our environment.

Love that is not expressed in action is not true love; so there is no unexpressed love for God or for one's brother (James 2: 14 - 26; Ezekiel 33: 31)

To neglect the prodding of the Holy Spirit to give to a brother or sister in need is evidence that you don't know the God of Love.

However, you should know that when God blesses you with a substance, He has someone else in mind to benefit from it.

The blessing of Laban from God was simply for Jacob's sake (Ex. 30: 27)

According to the story in Matt. 25: 31 - 46, our love in providing food to the needy, visiting (not texting) to pray with a brother or sister in the hospital and assisting others with bodily needs will count in the day of judgement.

So, how strong is your love life with regard to giving?

Prayer:
Father in Heaven, thank You for Your love for me. I pray that you give me a substance and the Spirit of liberality to bless others with my substance. I make this prayer through Christ my Lord, Amen.

Memory verse:   1 John 3: 18

"My little Children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth "

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
