Daily Fountain 2017 - Walking By Sight

Sunday April 23
1st Sunday After Easter

Bible Reading:     John 20: 24 - 31

Topic:         Walking By Sight

When Jesus first appeared to the disciples, Thomas Didymus was not there.

When told by the other disciples that they had seen the Lord, Thomas would not believe until he had personally seen Jesus and touched Him.

He wanted to walk by sight. Jesus satisfied his curiosity.

On the occasion of His next appearance, the door of where the disciples were was closed as in the first time, He appeared before them without any hindrance. Thomas personally saw Jesus - the evidence of resurrection standing before him - and believed.

Are you "a Thomas" of our time?
Are you one of those who demand miracles or visible signs as evidence of God's Power?
Jesus expects you to grow in faith which comes by hearing His Word (Rom. 10: 17)

"Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Heb. 11: 1)

By proclaiming Jesus as His Lord and God Thomas was declaring his total submission to the Lordship of Jesus over his life.

Is Jesus the Lord of your own life?

Prayer:

Lord, help me to believe without seeing, in Jesus Name, Amen

Memory Verse:   John 20: 31

"But these are written that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing, ye might have life through His Name"

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
