Daily Fountain 2017 - Jesus' Passion Foretold

Sunday April 2

Bible Reading:     Psalm 22

Topic:         Jesus' Passion Foretold

As God's anointed King over Israel, David was challenged with many conspiracies, terrifying oppositions and wars.

In all these, he encouraged himself to praise God and pay all the vows he made to God.

The lesson here is that in every difficult situation you should never cease to praise God and fulfill your obligations to Him and the Church.

In this Psalm, David was led in the Spirit to foretell the suffering which Christ would undergo on the Cross in order to bring salvation to mankind.

He was forsaken by God (v. 1)
bore our shame and reproach (vs. 6-7)
became weak for us to become strong and died that we might live (vs. 14 - 15)
His Hands and Feet were pierced (v. 16)
and His Garments were divided by lot (v. 18)

These described prophecies prove that Christ is the Messiah Who suffered all brutality and bore the pain of death for us (Isa. 53)

The outcome of the Passion and Death is that the poor is satisfied, those who seek and find Him will praise Him forever and at the end, families of nations will come from all the earth to worship Him.

Have you taken advantage of this all important sacrifice?

Prayer:
Thank You Lord for giving all for my sake. Help me to live in You and for You forever, Amen

Memory verse:   Psalm 22: 24
"For He hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath He hid His face from him but when he cried unto Him, He heard"

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
