Daily Fountain 2017 - He Is In Control

Monday April 24

Bible Reading:     John 21: 1 - 14

Topic:         He Is In Control

Jesus' two previous appearances to the Disciples to prove to them that He had indeed rises and to manifest His Power and Glory took place in Jerusalem.

In today's account, He met seven of them at the sea of Tiberias in Galilee.

They were there engaging in their secular occupation of fishing but not for men as He had earlier commissioned them.

As in the earlier experience (Lk. 5: 5) they toiled all night with nothing to show for it.

This time too, the miraculous catch of fish convinced them it was Jesus

Jesus also fed them with the fish He provided though He later invited them t bring some of theirs.

Do you know that Jesus is always in complete control of your affairs as He was for the Disciples, even when you can't see it?

He is there to remove your shame and frustration and provide for your needs as long as you put your trust in Him.

Leaders are also reminded not to take hasty decisions as Peter did because those they lead would almost follow them.

Resorting to past "occupation" or "life" is never the best option especially when you have left for good.

Always look unto Jesus to take you forward.

Prayer:

Lord, may Your Grace be continually sufficient for me, in Jesus Name, Amen

Memory Verse:   John 21: 12

"Jesus saith unto them "Come and dine" And none of the Disciples durst ask Him, Who art Thou? Knowing that it was the Lord"

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
