Daily Fountain 2017 - Jesus The Light Of The World

Saturday April 1

Bible Reading:     John 1: 1 - 10

Topic:         Jesus The Light Of The World

Light is essential to our daily lives.

If we try to walk at night in an unfamiliar environment without any source of light, we are likely to encounter untold difficulties.

In today's reading, John introduces Jesus both as Word and Light.

God created all things by means of His Word (Ps. 33: 9; 148: 5)
Just as the Word manifests Himself in nature and indeed all creation so also He ought to manifest in our everyday lives.

John also calls Jesus the Light of the men because He points humanity to God and reveals everything about God: holiness, purity, righteousness e.t.c.

He makes clear the meaning of life as well as how to live a purposeful life.

When Christ lives in us, we also live in Him and we in a sense become the light of the world pointing others to Christ.

When the Light of God comes into our lives, darkness is expelled and we receive an enablement to shine in this world of darkness (Lk. 8: 16)

As a child of God, you are connected to the Light, this enables you to walk in the Light that means to live righteously.

Insist today on walking in the light and eliminating the darkness of sin and satanic activities

Prayer:
May Your Light so shine in my life that the world around me may see You, Amen.

Memory verse:   John 1: 10
"He was in the world, and the world was made by Him and the world knew Him not"

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
