Daily Fountain 2017 - Hailing Or Nailing Jesus

Wednesday April 26

Bible Reading:     Acts 2: 22 - 39

Topic:         Hailing Or Nailing Jesus

The promise of Jesus in Acts 1: 8 is fulfilled in today's text. After the Pentecost, Peter's first message to a crowd brought in three thousand souls that repented.

How did this happen?

Peter was straight and forthright in his message.

The crux of Peter's message was that Jesus Whom the Jews despised and crucified was indeed the Messiah God had sent to them.

Peter went on to show how God endorsed Jesus as the Messiah through the miracles He performed and His death and resurrection yet the Jews for whom He came conspired to kill Him.

Touched by the message and its indictment a good number of Peter's listeners sought forgiveness through repentance and baptism.

"All have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Rom. 3: 23)

You were not there when the Jews crucified Jesus just as many of Peter's listeners were not there too.

But as long as you continue to reject the saving grace Jesus gives, you are crucifying Him.

If also you are a Child of God and you are not living worthy of that Name, you are crucifying Jesus.

Are you hailing or nailing Jesus?

Prayer:

Thank You Jesus for dying on the Cross for my sins, Amen

Memory Verse:   Acts 2: 39

"For the promise is unto you and your Children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord God shall call"

Daily Fountain 2017 - It Is To Your Advantage

Sunday May 21 5th Sunday After Easter Bible Reading:      John 16: 5 - 22 Topic:          It Is To Your Advantage In life we must be ready to endure some level of discomfort in the present, in order to enjoy comfort in the future. The disciples had become comfortable with the presence and involvement of Jesus in their lives, but Jesus announced to them that it was necessary for Him to return to His Father in order that the Holy Ghost might come. If Jesus stayed, He would be only in one place at a time; but His Spirit would be everywhere at the same time. The disciples had to recognize therefore that growth and maturity come with sacrifice which involves willingness to step out of our comfort zone. God knows the best for you. Be sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. Desire progress but don't reject the change that brings it. Yes, you may be in an uncomfortable sit...

Daily Fountain 2017 - 2310 - Building Out Of Ruins

Monday October 23 Bible Reading:     Acts. 15: 12 - 22 Topic:                  Building Out Of Ruins When you pass by a collapsed building, what comes to your mind? When you see a place devastated by war, what strikes you? Ruin, lots of ruins! dashed irrecoverable hope, you lament on what it used to be, when it was standing previously. God can change ruins and rebuild from new edifices. This is how God deals with our lives when it appears we have been ruined. We should not remain in the ruins around us, but on to God and allow Him to come and rebuild them for us and others. Prayer Lord, let me know how to make a building out of ruins. May I not be steeped in failed traditions to the detriment of revival in Jesus Name, Amen. Memory Verse             Acts. 15:...
